My parents are not yet here, can I purchase insurance for them in their absence?

Yes. You can purchase the insurance coverage on behalf of others including parents visiting children abroad, relatives traveling overseas, or friends visiting outside home country, and even in their absence.

Remember that you have an option to put the beneficiary as someone other than the international visitor or foreign traveler, as many visitor medical insurance plans offer certain benefits such as Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD & D) that is paid to the beneficiary in the case of an uneventful death of the visitor abroad.
