Pre-existing Condition Visitor Insurance provides USA visitors and foreign travelers with coverage for mostly acute onset of pre-existing conditions, which is is any medical condition the person might have been diagnosed with, or had any treatment for, or is taking any medication for prior to the start date of the insurance. Among the many plan offering, only some visitors medical insurance plans provide coverage for pre-existing conditions. Not all pre existing medical conditions such as heart attack, stroke, blood pressure, diabetes, storke and emergency health coverage for sudden unexpected relapses of other illness and/or sickness are coverd, please refer to the plan brochure for specific coverage.
Atlas America Insurance, Liaison Majestic Insurance and Inbound USA Insurance are some of the plans that cover some pre-existing conditions up to a certain limits as listed in the plan brochure.
Pre-existing conditions are usually chronic health conditions and are often medical conditions such as:
- diabetes
- heart problems (including bypass surgery)
- mental illness
- asthma
- chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- hemophilia
- epilepsy
- chronic infections
- multiple sclerosis, etc.
- certain allergies
- certain skin conditions
- a pregnancy prior to coverage
- an injury which occured prior to coverage

Visitor medical insurance generally treats a wide range of medical conditions, including asthma, haemophilia, arthritis, reflux, breast cancer, COPD, blood pressure (hypertension), hydrocephalus, raised cholesterol, colitis, heart conditions, angina, diverticulitis, diabetes, Crohn’s disease, strokes, anaphylaxia, hepatitis, bowel cancer, epilepsy, prostate cancer, multiple sclerosis (MS) , cystic fibrosis, leukaemia, pancreatitis, coeliac disease, thyroid, osteoporosis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Parkinson’s disease and many more under the pre-existing visitor insurance category. Many other conditions are also included in the plan exclusions which can be reviewed in the plan brochure.
